William J. Liss reports from the 11Alive Help Desk and serves as 11Alive's Business Editor.
He brings Atlanta viewers business and consumer reports each weekday morning on 11Alive Morning News and reports from the 11Alive Help Desk on 11Alive News at 11 pm. The Help Desk handles issues ranging from city services to helping families in need. Bill joined WXIA Television News in 1989.
An attorney and active member of the Bars of the State of New Jersey and the District of Columbia., he is also admitted to practice before the Federal and District Courts and the United States Supreme Court. Liss is an honorary member of the Atlanta Bar Association, and serves on the Task Force of the State Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.
Active in the Atlanta civic community, Liss currently serves on the Board of the Atlanta Fire-Rescue Foundation and has served on the Boards of the Northside Hospital Foundation; Inroads Atlanta, and the Emory University Board of Visitors. He also has served on the boards of Literacy Action and the Center for Entrepreneurship at Clark Atlanta University. In addition, he also has been a guest lecturer at the Emory University Graduate School of Business, and the Clark Atlanta Business School.
Bill is a US Air Force veteran, and is active with programs with the Veterans Administration in Atlanta.
He is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall University.
Bill and his wife Debbie have two children.
