It's not uncommon to see holes in the road driving around Metro Atlanta. But not like the one that opened up recently on Piedmont Road near the Buford Highway Connector. This crater was four feet wide and about eight inches deep. But size wasn't the worst thing about it. Somehow, the concrete that once filled this hole had eroded (or fallen) away, exposing re-bar and open gaps looking a hundred feet down to the ground. Several drivers damaged their cars after hitting the giant hole and contacted Commuter Dude to help get the hazard fixed.
