Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said investigators believe Foster broke into the house through a back door and surprised the homeowner. The suspect and victim got into a struggle; both were injured.
Holland said Foster tied up the homeowner with duct tape and then ran. He was armed with a knife during the home invasion.
The victim's injuries were not serious, but he was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, Holland said.
Police caught up with Foster Tuesday at an extended stay hotel near the scene and arrested him. He was charged with burglary, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and theft by taking.
Holland said Foster is also wanted in Cobb County and by State Pardons and Parole.
