Kenneth Krause turns lessons into songs for kindergarteners at Sarah Smith elementary in Atlanta.

ATLANTA - At the end of the day in Kenneth Kraus' kindergarten class, there's a segment called, "I'm Telling" -- but, it's not what you might think.

Sure. The kids tattletale, but the catch is they have to tell POSITIVE things about each other.

That's a just small part of the creativity that Kraus brings to the classroom.

Among other things, there's a real disco ball in the middle of the ceiling in his room.

They spin the disco ball and their bodies at the end of the day.
Actually, the kids do some type of dancing with lessons all day because at Sarah Smith Elementary, Kraus believes in packing learning with movement and music.

"The more you get their bodies to move. The more they learn," said Kraus. "Where they know they can step out and try whatever they like. That's where the learning begins."

"These kids get off that bus skipping home and sharing the activities of the day. Mr. Kraus provides that type of environment," said Dr. Sidney Baker, Sarah Smith Elementary Principal.

Kenneth Kraus is an 11Alive Class Act winner.
