ATLANTA -- Two years ago around this time, Cooper Allen and his family were getting ready for the Christmas season when their lives were turned upside down.
At 3 years old, Cooper was diagnosed with nephroblastoma, Wilms tumor, on his right kidney.
The tumor was found at a routine visit to the doctor.
The melon size tumor was too big to take out right away.
Cooper underwent chemotherapy to shrink the tumor, and then radiation and more chemo.
Now, two years after treatment, little Cooper, now a big 5 year old, feels great.
This will be a very grateful Christmas for Cooper, his mom and dad and his brother Jack.
