ATHENS -- The Georgia Bulldogs may take on Alabama in the SEC Championship Saturday without some of the team's biggest fans.
The 10 upperclassmen who make up the popular 'DawgNation' sign at every University of Georgia home game did not get tickets to the showdown this weekend. The students say they applied to get tickets, but didn't receive any.
"We've been to every home game for several years now," said Nathan Korosec, senior. "We all meet the requirements, but we still came up short. I know absolutely no one who got a ticket."
They're now circulating a petition asking university leaders to get them into the game.

"We believe the students do have an impact on the game," added Kurt Doehrman, senior. "We're just petitioning the athletic department at Georgia to see if they would reward the dedicated students that go the extra mile with a gesture of just 10 tickets to the SEC title game."
Students say the way the tickets were dispersed simply isn't fair.
"The students really have an impact. And, when it comes to the post-season, they're not rewarded with tickets. It's all about money. Students are priced out of the game," said Doehrman.
"We were told that UGA students only received 1,200 tickets for the game on Saturday, which is a very low number for a championship game," said Korosec. "When it's two schools, there should be two student bodies representing everybody at the school."
Korosec even said some of the students who received tickets are now selling them to make a profit.
So far, the group has not heard from the university about its petition.
"It's frustrating," Doehrman sighed. "We never get any recognition for good things. But if the stands start emptying before the game is over, or if students don't show up to a game, we get ridiculed for not filling up the stadium. We just want to be there to be 10 extra loud voices cheering on the Dawgs."
