Manhunt underway after bloody home invasion in Decatur
DECATUR, Ga. -- Multiple people were shot in a home invasion early Thursday morning.
DeKalb County police responded to a town home in the 3500 block of Terrace Trail around 2:30 and found four people with gunshot wounds.
According to DeKalb Police Lieutenant Rod Bryant, four to five armed gunmen forcibly entered the home in a robbery attempt. Two victims and two suspects were shot. Those shot are men between the ages of 30 and 40-years-old. All four are listed in stable condition but one person is serious.
Another person in the house suffered lacerations after jumping through a window, according to police.
Several suspects are still on the run but police have not released a description.
Police said there is no known reason why the home was targeted. It is not clear how many people were in the home at the time of the invasion but we do know there was a 13-year-old boy in the home. He was not injured.
The shooting and home invasion are still under investigation.
DeKalb County dispatch originally reported five people were shot but that number has been corrected.
