In the wake of the shooting and all the injuries, local officials in Florida are stressing the need for blood donations. The Atlanta branch American Red Cross said in a statement it will be providing a assistance in the wake of the shooting.

Local Red Cross volunteers are supporting emergency responders by providing snacks and water, and the Red Cross is coordinating closely with local officials to determine how to best support the affected community.
