Julie Wolfe is the Director of Social Media at 11Alive. She's part of the digital leadership team and works with the entire newsroom to implement the station's "Mobile First" goals.

WXIA/ WATL has been Julie's "news" home since 2006, but Metro Atlanta has been her home since she was a teenager. She attended McEachern High School in Cobb County and graduated from UGA's Grady College of Journalism.

She worked in Cheyenne, Wyoming before joining the TEGNA family at WGRZ in Buffalo, New York. She was hired as the company's first backpack journalist and ushered in a new way of mobile one-man reporting with a heavy emphasis on digital first reporting.

In 2006, her dream to return home became a reality when she took a position as a general assignment Mutli-Media Journalist at 11Alive. In 2012, Julie followed her passion for online content and made the jump to 11Alive's growing digital team.

Sometime between her second and third marathons, she realized she's addicted to that "runner's high". She's completed more than 30 marathons and ultra marathons. These days, she's added a running stroller to the mix. She became a mom in May 2015. She lives with her husband, Ryan, and their rescue mutt in the city of Atlanta.
