Shelters waive adoption fees for those wearing ugly Christmas sweaters

The ugly sweater promotion is valid at all LifeLine shelters.

If you've always wanted to adopt a pet but didn't quite have enough to cover the costs -- head into your closet.

LifeLine Animal Project is offering free adoptions to future forever families who visit shelters wearing ugly holiday sweaters.

The free adoption promotion is valid through Dec. 31 and includes the animal’s spray or neuter, vaccinations and a microchip, which normally costs $300.

The Ugly Sweater promotion is valid at all LifeLine shelters, including:

  • DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee;
  • Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta;
  • LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel, 129 Lake Street, Avondale Estates;
  • LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Scottdale.

If you're not looking to adopt, but still would like to help -- LifeLine Animal Project is also asking for toy donations. The toys can be found on their Amazon wish list here.
