Atlanta is geared up and ready to celebrate the holiday season with various events fun for everyone in the family. From light displays to meeting Santa, you are sure to get into the holiday spirit this year!

Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker

Nothing says, ‘Happy Holidays’ like watching the iconic Atlanta Ballet perform the Nutcracker. From December 8 to December 28 you can watch the story unfold at the historic Fox Theatre in downtown Atlanta.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

Experience a night of lights at the Garden Lights Holiday Nights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Through January 7, you can explore the Walk of Flames and Tunnel of Light along with favorites such as the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest, and Model Trains that continue to make the exhibition a must-see holiday tradition.

Atlantic Station

Atlantic Station is your one-stop destination for all things holiday cheer this year. From ice skating to crafting, a day at Atlantic Station is sure to be filled with holiday fun!

Christkindl Market: Open until December 23, you can enjoy Atlanta’s only authentic German Christkindl Market in Central Park that features a Christmas village of authentic German booths selling imported German food and beverages and one-of-a-kind gift items.

Hanukkah: From Dec. 12 through Dec. 20 enjoy the marvelous lighting of the great Menorah in Central Park with Chabad Intown. There will also be a special celebration the evening of December 13 in Central Park.

Santa’s Cottage: Grab the kiddos and get your picture with Saint Nick! On December 9, you can enjoy Breakfast with Santa from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at California Pizza Kitchen. You can call California Pizza Kitchen to make reservations at (404) 249-7034. On December 20, Rudolph’s Paint Workshop is going on from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at California Pizza Kitchen.

SKATE Atlantic Station: Lace up and take the first lap around the 10,000-square-foot ice rink decked out in twinkling lights now through mid-February.

Calloway Gardens

Hop in the car and travel to The South’s Christmas Tradition at Calloway Gardens. Enjoy the Christmas Village while meeting holiday characters up close and be amazed as you drive through the dazzling illuminated forest. From dinner with The Grinch to cookies with Mrs. Claus, you’ll never want to leave this wonderland!

Georgia Aquarium

Head under the water and ring in the holiday season with the whale sharks. Georgia Aquarium’s Festival of SEAson features The Polar Express 4-D Experience and even SCUBA Claus as Santa dons a wetsuit and swims with the fishes!

Lake Lanier

For 25 years Lake Lanier has wowed families across Georgia with their Magical Nights of Lights. Macy’s Pink Pig

For five generations, Macy’s Pink Pig has been the jump-start to the holiday season as families ride the iconic Pink Pig train. Located at Macy's Lenox Square, the Pink Pig will run through December 31.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Spend the Holidays in the Park! For the fourth year in a row, Six Flags is celebrating the holidays through January 3. Enjoy the thrill of the roller coasters while gazing at the winter wonderland lights throughout the park.

Stone Mountain

Have a holly jolly Christmas at Stone Mountain where cheer is in the air and snow is on the ground.

Stone Mountain Christmas: Experience the new tree lighting ceremony along with the Snow Angel and hop onboard the Singalong Christmas Train as you listen to Christmas tunes and hear the story of the first Christmas gift.

Snow Mountain: Now until February 25 you can enjoy a snow day in the South! Take a ride on the cold side of Snow Mountain. Enjoy a 400-foot tubing hill and 2 moving sidewalks to take you back to the top.

The Battery

Looking for something new this holiday season? You might want to check out The Battery! The Battery will have Atlanta’s newest ice skating rink along with a Winter Wonderland Party Zone and, of course, Santa.

The Rock Ranch

Enjoy yourself a country Christmas this year at The Rock Ranch in South Georgia. Visit Country Christmas Nights on select days in December where you can visit Santa’s Workshop for a keepsake ornament station, cookie decorating, face painting, story time with an elf, and letter to Santa station. You can also drive through the Christmas light display on the farm for a bit of “country Christmas cheer.”
