Douglasville bobsledder aiming for gold in PyeongChang, 2018 Winter Games

Tuesday, August 8, marks the six-month countdown to PyeongChang, South Korea, and the start of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Tuesday, August 8, marks the six-month countdown to PyeongChang, South Korea, and the start of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Elana Meyers Taylor is a two-time Olympic bobsledder from Douglasville, Ga., and has the 2018 gold mead in her sights.

Along with teammate Erin Pac, she won the bronze medal in the two-woman bobsled event at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.

Four years later in Sochi, Meyers Taylor won silver in the same event with Lauryn Williams.

Now, the 32-year-old said she is going for nothing else but gold in PyeonChang.
