George Blackstock wins $1 million playing the $5,000,000 Mega Cash!

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A Greensboro tour bus driver said he had a heart-stopping moment after winning $1 million dollars.

George Blackstock said at first he thought he won $100 while scratching off a $5,000,000 Mega Cash lottery ticket.

But that was just the beginning! He kept scratching only to find out he was $1 million dollars richer!

“I couldn’t stop saying, ‘Oh Lord!’” Blackstock said. “I think my heart stopped for a few seconds. I was out of breath.”

Blackstock bought the lottery ticket at the Freeway Mart on Freeway Drive in Reidsville. He said he rushed to his car right away to scratch the ticket.

Blackstock took the lump sum of $600,000. He ended up with $417,012 after taxes.

He plans to pay off his bills and do some home repairs.

$5,000,000 Mega Cash launched in May with three top prizes of $5 million and six prizes of $1 million. Two $5 million prizes and three $1 million prizes remain.
