MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Target is recalling a Easter-themed toy due to a possibility that it could be swallowed and expand in a child's stomach.
The recall posted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission involves "Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs," "Easter Grow Toys," and "Hatch Your Own Dino."
The recall was announced on Wednesday due to fears that the toys can be ingested and expand inside the body causing intestinal obstructions. This could also cause severe discomfort,, vomiting, dehydration and could be life-threatening.
"Consumers should immediately take this recalled toy away from children and return it to any Target store for a full refund," the recall states.
Easter, dinosaur toys recalled at Target
Further complicating matters, the items might not show up on an x-ray. Despite the concern, there haven't yet been any reported incidents or injuries.
The Easter-based products have a model number of 234-25-1200 and the dinosaur-themed products have a model number of 234-09-0016.
To further help identify the products, officials have also released the contents of each egg. The pink, blue, or purple Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs include a white bunny, brown bunny or butterfly. The Easter Grow Toys include a yellow chick, brown bunny, or white bunny. The Hatch Your Own Dino Eggs are purple or yellow/green and contains one of 11 dinosaurs.
