ATLANTA – Police say four kids had to be transported and a driver had to be rescued after two cars collided in southeast Atlanta.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to the area of I-20 at Flat Shoals near Fayetteville Road after getting reports of an accident with an entrapment.
Early information indicates that two cars collided on Flat Shoals, trapping the driver of one vehicle inside. Police said four children were riding inside that car and had to be transported to Egelston Hospital. The driver and a child inside the other car were unharmed.
Atlanta Police said the driver operating the vehicle with the entrapment was at fault. That driver was charged with failure to yield when entering or crossing the roadway and failure to use safety restraints for children.
