SACRAMENTO, Ca -- An a capella group in Sacramento provided one veteran a joyful Veterans Day weekend.

The Sacramento threshold choir sings to the ill and those who are dying. Over Veterans Day weekend, they visited Winding Way Villa Senior Home, providing comfort during life’s most difficult crossroads.

Their services range from singing to the terminally ill, those recovering from surgery, or those just going through a difficult time.

The choir is among 150 chapters worldwide, and is composed of all volunteers.

The non-profit is completely free of charge.

"We call it -- for the most part -- lullabies for the end of life," said choir member Mary Patt.

Another choir member, Keely Roth, said participating in the group “has been probably the greatest honor in my life."
