ATLANTA, Ga. - R&B singer Bobby Brown is speaking up about his daughter’s tragic death, how he feels about Nick Gordon, and his battle with drug addiction.

Brown, who appeared on an episode of The T.D. Jakes Show, candidly opened up about moving past the pain of some very tragic events over recent years.

The former New Edition front runner revealed he is still waiting to get closure after Nick Gordon was found legally responsible for his daughter, Bobbi’s Kristina Brown’s death.

“The DA still hasn’t taken out criminal charges on Nick Gordon. That’s what I’m waiting for them to do. That’s when I think I’ll get some closure. Until then, just knowing that he’s legally responsible for my daughter’s death has given me a bit of calmness to waiting for the DA. But I have faith in God,” Brown said.

When T.D. Jakes asked Brown if he suspects foul play leading to the death of his daughter he said, “Oh yes. definitely.”

“There’s no way. She was coming to stay with me in two days before this tragic thing happened to my daughter. Two days later, she would’ve been out here in Los Angeles with me,” Brown recalled.

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died in August 2015 – several months after being found unresponsive in a tub at her Roswell townhome. Gordon was her longtime partner.

Autopsy results released in March 2016 indicated multiple drugs were involved in Brown's death, including marijuana, alcohol (ethanol), benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety) and morphine.

Bobby Brown then opened up about his own history with addiction.

“I think when you have the disease that we have – which is being addicts – it’s a disease. It doesn’t matter who started it or where it came from. It’s controlling me and get it out of your life. I didn’t really take it like “I’ve been vindicated.” I used also. I’ve made my mistakes and paid the price for it in so many ways. I’m grateful and thankful to not even have a thought of it anymore, Brown said.
