ATLANTA -- Police are investigating after a person was shot outside a popular West Midtown eatery.
According to Atlanta Police Department, the shooting happened at JCT Kitchen at 1198 Howell Mill Road late Monday evening.
A couple was allegedly in the parking lot when a man attempted to rob them at gunpoint. Police said the robber shot the male victim who then ran into the restaurant for help. Police said the robber then chased him and continued to fire at the victim.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Bruno Bafico and he has been in surgery after suffering injuries to his stomach and thigh.
The robber fled the scene and the male victim was taken to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing.
