FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Investigations into arson, child welfare, and littering have all come together into the arrest of a husband and wife in Forsyth County.

Forsyth County deputies confirmed that on Tuesday Disha Ratilalbhai Tank was arrested in the Springmonte subdivision for littering and simple battery on a law enforcement officer. But investigators would learn that Tank was the wife of a man soon to be charged with other unusual crimes in the same area.

The very next day at around 1 a.m., deputies and the Forsyth County Fire Department arrived at the 2800 block of Saddlebrook Glen Drive just outside the subdivision in reference to a vehicle fire spotted by a home owner. While investigating, detectives noticed a suspicious vehicle driven by Piyushkumar Mistry - Tank's husband.

After stopping Mistry, deputies learned that he had left his 6-month-old child alone at home. A welfare check by deputies soon confirmed this. He was arrested on charges of cruelty to children (deprivation) and driving with a suspended registration. It wasn't until later in the day after fire investigators completed their investigation that he was also charged with three counts of first-degree arson connected to recent incidents in the area.

Now both the husband and wife are behind bars. Tank is currently being held at Forsyth County Detention Center on $2,340 bond and Mistry is being held without bond. The couple's child is in the care of the Georgia Division of Family and Child Services.
