JONESBORO, Ga. - One of Clayton County's top 10 fugitives was arrested Thursday morning at a Jonesboro motel.
Zachary Hardwick, 19, was arrested by U.S. marshals and members of the Clayton County gangs, intelligence and narcotics task force at an America's Best Inn & Suites on Old Dixie Highway.
Police made the arrest after an anonymous tip.
Hardwick made the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office’s “Top Ten” fugitives list and was wanted on armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during commission of a felony charges. The charged stem from an incident that occurred at a Riverdale home on Aug. 15, 2017, involving Hardwick’s younger brother.
On the same date, after Hardwick’s younger brother got into a fight with another party, police said they both returned to the Riverdale home and confronted two victims whom they physically assaulted, fired shots at, held at gunpoint and robbed.
Hardwick’s younger brother was arrested later that day.
