Woodstock Police asked for the public's help in tracking down an armed man who held up a Subway store on Monday, January 1.

Police told 11Alive News that the man, who was caught on surveillance video, displayed a gun and took an undetermined amount of money from a store clerk.

The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m.

Police say the man is believed to be in his late 20s to late 30s, approximately 6'-6'4" tall, with a skinny build and blue eyes. He was wearing a black Under Armour jacket, dark pants, dark shoes with white soles, a black beanie, and a tan ball cap.

The man was using a gun, described as a full-sized, semi-automatic handgun, stainless steel/nickel slide, black grips or frame, all metal and between a 9mm-.45 caliber.

The robber escaped on foot and was believed to be heading westbound along GA 92.
