KINGSTON, Ga. -- Bartow County authorities are investigating after an elderly man was found shot dead.
According to a statement from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office attributed to Sheriff Clark Millsap, deputies arrived around 3:30 p.m. to Norton Road after reports of a shooting.
They arrived to find the victim, a man in his 80s, already dead. Deputies and investigators are questioning a person who was on the scene when they arrived.
Bartow County authorities have declined to offer further information citing the ongoing investigation. Neither the victim or a possible suspect have been identified.
