MARIETTA, Ga -- A former teacher at Mount Paran Christian School pled guilty on Tuesday to sexual assault of a student.
Christopher Wade Brown, 37, admitted having a sexual relationship last year with a female student who was 17, according to the Cobb County district attorney's office. After she ended the relationship, Brown attempted to start a relationship with another minor, which led to similar charges against him for acts committed in Fulton County.
Cobb assistant district attorney David Williamson, who prosecuted the case, read a statement from the girl to the court. She wrote that Brown “stole so much from me,” and that he is “the worst thing that has happened to me.”
Cobb Superior Court Judge S. Lark Ingram sentenced Brown to 20 years, with 10 years to serve in prison and the balance on probation. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison. He will be prohibited from having contact with any minors and must have any future employment approved by probation.
Last week, Brown pled guilty to charges of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes in Fulton County for acts related to the other girl. He received a sentence of 15 years with 10 years to serve in confinement in Fulton County.
