Father charged with killing stepson in Haralson

Investigators search for a motive to explain the killing

BREMEN, Ga. -- A Haralson County father is accused of shooting and killing his stepson, Thursday night, in their Bremen, Georgia home.

Police responded to a call around 6:15 p.m. at 810-B Pacific Avenue. Inside a home, they found 45-year-old Keith Holloway lying on the floor suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died.

His stepfather, 66-year-old Tony Brown, was taken into custody without incident. Bremen police said they recovered a handgun inside the home.

"There was some sort of an argument, which may have led to the shooting," Bremen Police Chief Keith Pesnell said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken over the probe of the case. A GBI spokesman said Tony Brown faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.

Brown remains in the Haralson County Jail pending a court appearance.
