FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Fayetteville police are investigating after a shooting in front of a Goodwill Friday afternoon.

Officials said police were called to the 1400 block of Ga. Highway 85 around 5 p.m. where they said eight black males were seen around a vehicle in the parking lot. Around that time, shots were fired and all of the men, including the victim, fled the scene.

Neighboring Clayton County's 911 center received a call shortly after the incident at a convenience store in Riverdale that said a person had been shot.

Fayetteville police traveled to Riverdale where they confirmed that this person was the victim in the shooting they were investigating.

Clayton County police have since also found several subjects who police believe were at the scene. They are currently being interviewed by Fayetteville detectives but, so far, police have not yet identified the shooter.

The shooting victim suffered injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening and was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.
