The man accused of murdering his infant daughter and concealing her body in the woods is due in court Friday morning.
A Newton County grand jury is set to convene in the case against Christopher Michael McNabb, father of 15-day-old Caliyah McNabb, who died from blunt force trauma to the head.
The infant's body was found Oct. 8, 2017. Police said McNabb wrapped the girl in a t-shirt and blanket, placed her in a drawstring bag and hid the body in the woods near a mobile home park.
Caliyah had been reported missing a day earlier by her mother, Cortney Bell.
McNabb is facing four charges: malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, and concealing a death.
According to the warrant, McNabb, "did strike the victim ... with an unknown object. This action did cause the victim's skull to be seriously disfigured and damaged beyond repair."
