MORROW, Ga. -- One man is under arrest after allegedly trying to steal Christmas decorations out of the front of a local police station late Wednesday.
Morrow Police Chief James Callaway told 11Alive by e-mail that the suspect was caught in the act during the evening. While the name of this person hasn't been released, his photo in the back of a patrol car was one of several posted on social media late Wednesday following the arrest.
Chief Callaway confirmed that the online photo was that of the suspect.
Police: Man caught trying to steal police department decorations
Police said he was attempting to steal extension cords and lights from the front of the department headquarters and already had some of the cords on top of his car when they arrived.
Specific charges were not named and Chief Callaway said an official narrative was not yet available.
