Almost 100 pounds of cocaine worth more than $2 million was seized by police in Rockdale County during an I-20 traffic stop on Saturday.

According to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, 38 packages of cocaine weighing 97.96 pounds were confiscated during the stop, which was between West Avenue and Sigman Road.

Victor Gomez-Perez was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine.

Members of both the local sheriff’s department and other state and local officials conducted the stop.
