Brookhaven Police are looking for the people responsible for stealing a woman’s purse from her vehicle, then coming back moments later to steal her car.

The incident occurred at the Exxon gas station on North Druid Hills Road at I-85. According to police, the victim was pumping gas as a red 4 door vehicle pulled up next to her. The passenger went to the victim’s passenger side door and grabbed her purse.

Once the victim noticed the purse was missing, she began to look around the area. When she went inside the gas station, the suspects came back and entered the vehicle used her key fob from her purse, started the car and drove off. The car was later found abandoned in Atlanta.

Brookhaven Lt. K.O. Patton wants to remind all patrons to keep your head on a swivel while pumping gas, be aware of your surroundings, and lock your doors.
