Police: Man shot inside home escapes, collapses on neighbor's porch

When police got to the home, they found the victim shot in the back, semi-conscious.

LAGRANGE, Ga. — Authorities are searching for two suspects they said shot a man inside his home before driving off. 

According to LaGrange Police, officers responded to the 100 block of Beaman Street around 1:40 p.m. Dec. 16 after getting reports of a person shot. 

When police got there, they found the victim shot in the back, semi-conscious.

Witnesses told officers the victim ran onto their porch and asked them to call police before passing out. 

After a short investigation, police determined that the victim had actually been shot inside his home a few doors down. A witness reported seeing two men running from the victim's home and getting into a dark SUV shortly before police were called.
