NORCROSS- Police have arrested two unlicensed dentists while working on a separate crime.
Peter Kiriliuk and Yuri Aleksandruk were each charged with one count of practice of dentistry without a icense.
The Gwinnett County Police Department received a tip about locating a stolen oven on Monday.
According to the police, the victim in the theft case said that he reported a burglary in the city of Atlanta. He found his stolen oven through an advertisement on Craigslist, so he arranged to meet with the seller in a suite in the 4200 block of Steve Reynolds Boulevard.
After a GCPD detective obtained a search warrant, he met with Peter Kiriliuk, a woman, man, and two small children in the front lobby of the suite.
During the initial search of the suite, officers found a locked door and heard movement on the other side.
Even after making several verbal commands, the occupants allegedly refused to come to the door. The officers forced entry and found Yuri Aleksandruk and a female inside.

Police say it was immediately clear that Yuri was conducting dental exams in the room. After conducting interviews with all the people, Yuri admitted to practicing dentistry in the room without a proper license. Yuri paid Peter to operate his dental work out of two separate rooms.
Yuri was not licensed in the U.S., but said he was licensed overseas. The detective assigned to this case believes that he was only performing dentistry at this location for about a month.
It’s unclear if he was at a different location prior. He had an appointment book showing upcoming dentist appointments. Police say most of his clients traveled to the location from out-of-state.
The recovery of the stolen item was not related to the dentistry office. The dentist office was just at the same location, not being operated by the same person.
