Suspects arrested in Downtown connector chase identified; third suspect still on the run

Police have been involved in a high speed pursuit on Atlanta's interstates Wednesday afternoon.

ATLANTA - Police have identified one of the two suspects who were apprehended during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle that took place on Wednesday.

The driver has been identified as Antonio Paulhill, 23, and has been charged with theft by receiving stolen auto and fleeing or attempting to elude police.

The second suspect who was arrested is a 16-year-old male and has been charged with disorderly conduct. He also has an outstanding warrant from East Point Police.

According to Atlanta Police Officer Stephanie Brown, preliminary information indicates officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle occupied by robbery suspects near Osbourne Street and Evans Street, when the vehicle fled.

Officers, along with Georgia State Patrol, pursued the vehicle onto I-20 and Capitol Ave. The suspects stopped on the roadway near the Capitol Gateway Apartments and fled on foot.

According to police, two of the suspects were apprehended nearby, while a third suspect is still being sought.
