MARIETTA, Ga. -- A man wanted by Cobb County Police for a brutal attack, rape and kidnapping of a woman has been captured, officials said.
Police had been searching for Isidoro Badillo Figueroa since May 14 after he allegedly attacked a Smyrna woman.
According to authorities, Figueroa disoriented his victim on Beardon Drive before he carried her behind a nearby business where he allegedly raped the woman before running away.
Authorities had taken out warrants for Figueroa on Wednesday May 17, and by Thursday he was in police custody. Investigators had tracked him down to a home on Oak Haven Drive and arrested Figueroa after following him to a restaurant on South Cobb Drive.
Figueroa has been charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual battery and battery. He's being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
