Weeks after his death, funeral services were finally held Thursday for a 17-year-old fatally outside of a southwest Atlanta gas station.

Family and friends gathered to remember Daronald Wilkerson at the Hollfield Mortuary on Hollywood Road NW.

Last week, his mother told 11Alive how she was struggling to pay for a proper burial and was working extra jobs.

After the story aired, donations poured in, helping the family raise enough money for the funeral.

One person has been arrested in the teen's death. Darryl Oliver, 19, was charged last month with felony murder and aggravated assault. Investigators said Oliver is spotted on surveillance video running from the scene.

Police are looking for a second person caught on video near the gas station. Investigators believe the person in the white shirt was a witness. Anyone who has information on the case is asked to call police.
