Lilburn,Ga -- An Atlanta man will soon learn how many steps it takes to walk all the way from Florida to Maine
Brett Bramble will begin a 2,400 plus mile trek to raise awareness about opioids and overdoses Saturday.
In 2016, Bramble made a coast-to-coast, cross-country walk after losing his sister Brittany Bramble McNatt to a drug overdose two years earlier.
He's now doing it again, this time heading up the East Coast, but now he's got a team of other walkers and sponsors to help along the way.
"Because I got so much out of the walk experience last time, I decided I'd invite people to come, and sure enough, I didn't know if there would be, but sure enough we have a team of five people, plus my dog domino, and I'm just so excited to get this underway," said Bramble. "The problem is only getting worse and worse, and so we just wanna be as loud as we possibly can."
Bramble expects to complete the walk in August, six months after the group begins.
After his first walk, Bramble started a non-profit organization, Freedom to Grow, to help fight overdoses.

An 11Alive investigation found a 4,000 percent increase in heroin-related deaths inside wealthy metro-Atlanta suburbs. The deaths were within a geographic location identified as "The Triangle."
It is growing, with more and more people becoming addicted and dying. See the investigation and what heroin addiction looks likes, here.
