SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Oh, boy. Here we go again.
After a water main break snarled traffic in Sandy Springs during the Wednesday afternoon rush hour, crews are expected to work through the night and into the Thursday morning commute to repair it.
SkyTracker footage from over the scene Wednesday showed water pouring down Roswell Road at Northridge Road. Emergency responders closed Roswell Road in both directions at Northridge, according to city officials.
Atlanta Watershed and the Georgia Department of Transportation went to the scene to assess the situation and try to shut off the water. They were able to stop the flow of water around 9 p.m., but crews are expected to continue work.
On Wednesday night, the city tweeted to urge drivers to take alternates because Roswell Road will be closed during the Thursday morning commute.
