BUFORD, Ga. -- Gwinnett County resident Linda Fenton was all smiles after a Mother’s Day surprise from Home Depot.
Linda and her wife were leaving the Home Depot in Buford Saturday evening when they found a porch swing they wanted. With Linda being in a wheelchair, they quickly realized that they had no way to get the swing home or a way to unload it.
The couple approached managers at the store and asked for solutions. They were told they could come back the next day and rent a truck which still wasn’t going to work. They paid for the swing and were going to figure out a plan overnight.
On Sunday morning, Linda received a call from the Home Depot garden department manager asking for her address and informed her that they would be delivering her new swing and setting it up.
Shortly after the call, two Home Depot managers arrived with flowers in hand. They set up Linda’s new swing and wished her a Happy Mother’s Day. As a surprise to the managers, they learned it was also Linda’s birthday.
