DAWSONVILLE, Ga. -- Motorists in the area of Dawsonville are urged to use caution in the area of Highway 53 near the Etowah River after a two car accident and spill in the area.

Officials tell 11Alive that crews are working to clean up insecticide in the area after a large container filled with the chemical came loose from a truck traveling downhill and hit an oncoming car.

The Dawson News added that the chemical is arsenic-based and that the size of the container was about 300 gallons. The spill is currently blocking both lanes and a clearing time has not yet been released.
