Lawn mowers, trimmers, an entire trailer - all gone.

That's the short list.

Newnan Police said someone broke into the Coweta County Recreation Department on Hospital Road and stole at least $50,000 worth of landscaping equipment overnight.

An employee arrived around 7:30 Monday morning and noticed the locks to the front gate and barn door were cut and removed.

Evidence of the theft was left behind.

Police found track marks from a vehicle leading from the area where a trailer was stolen, and a section of rebar was also found next to a cut lock and chain.

In all, five lawn mowers, eight trimmers, two painters, three blowers, two tool boxes, one weed eater, one air compressor, two trailers, two edgers and two saws were stolen.
