Two alleged carjackers were arrested after forcing a couple out of their vehicle in Ansley Park.

Two alleged carjackers were arrested after forcing a couple out of their vehicle in Ansley Park.

It happened Tuesday around at 10:24 p.m.

Police said the victims were driving near 57 Inman Circle NE, when a black male who was walking in the street pointed a handgun and ordered them out of the vehicle. The thieves drove away and the couple called 911 and gave a description of the vehicle to police.

Just after midnight, vehicle was located near 1076 State St. It was unoccupied.

Around 2:00 in the morning, officers conducted a traffic stop near 320 Fairburn Road.

During their investigation, they located stolen items from the Inman Circle carjacking in the possession of one of the people in the car. That person, a 16-year-old boy, was arrested.

At this time investigators are working to determine whether the occupants were involved in the carjacking or any other crimes.
