Argument over car boot leads to shooting and arrests

Atlanta Police arrested two people accused of firing a gun after getting into a verbal argument with a parking attendant.

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police arrested two people accused of firing a gun after getting into a verbal argument with a parking attendant.

Captain Brian Schiffbauer said around 2:20 Friday morning, patrons got into an argument with a parking attendant after their car was booted. The parking lot is located at 315 Pharr Road which is next to a hookah lounge.

Schiffbauer said after the boot was removed, the patrons fired a gunshot into the air and then pointed the gun at the attendant before driving away. Witnesses gave a description of the vehicle.

A trooper with the Georgia State Patrol spotted the car and conducted a traffic stop at Spring Street and 10th Street.

The trooper found a gun in the car and a witness identified the passengers as the suspects involved in the shooting.

They were arrested and charged with aggravated assault. No one was injured in the shooting.
