4 dead after van, Dallas Cowboys tour bus collide on Arizona highway

Four people are dead after a tour bus and van collided on US 93, north of Kingman, Las Vegas NBC affiliate, KSNV reports.

KINGMAN, Ariz. - Multiple people are dead after a Dallas Cowboys tour bus and van collided Sunday on U.S. 93, between Kingman, Arizona, and Nevada, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS said the van was turning left on to Pierce Ferry Road at milepost 41, across the traffic lanes, when the collision happened and both vehicles left the road.

Four occupants of the van, three females and a male, died at the scene, DPS said.

The tour bus involved is a Dallas Cowboys bus. There were no players on board and officials said there were no injuries to those on board the bus.

The crash happened at about 1:40 p.m., just a few miles south of Dolan Springs.

Four team staff members -- Cowboys writer Mickey Spagnola, team mascot Rowdy, videographer Jason Walraven and the bus driver -- were on board, 12 News sister station WFAA reports. Spagnola has been documenting the annual bus tour on the Cowboys' website.

It was scheduled to make a stop at GameWorks in Las Vegas at 3 p.m. local time, Spagnola tweeted shortly before the accident.
