ATLANTA, Ga – Atlantic Station is hosting its annual tree lighting ceremony Saturday night in Midtown.

The free community event begins at 1 pm and runs until 10 pm, with musical performances throughout the day and the official opening of the community’s ice skating rink.

Visitors to Atlantic Station will enjoy ice-skating, snow shows and meet-and-greets with Santa.

The holiday lights parade begins at 8 pm and the official arrival of Santa Claus himself. The lighting of the great tree is being emceed by 11Alive anchor Brenda Wood.

The evening ends with a fireworks display.

The holiday season at Atlantic Station starts with Saturday's tree-lighting celebration and continues with Atlanta's firs German Christkindl Market, which opens on December 2.
