Brian Kemp on Father's Day: 'Dad' is always going to be my favorite title

The governor posted a tribute to Facebook, Sunday.

ATLANTA — Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is taking a moment to reflect on fatherhood this Father's Day. 

The governor posted a tribute to Facebook, Sunday.

"I am incredibly blessed to be the father of three amazing daughters who have stood by me through thick and thin," Kemp wrote. "It is an honor to be your Governor but "Dad" is always going to be my favorite title."

"Happy Father's Day!" he wished.

Kemp was named governor of Georgia after a highly-contested race against Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams. He was the sitting Secretary of State when he was elected and becamthe third Republican to hold the Governor’s office since post-Civil War Reconstruction - his predecessors Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal being the first two. 

He formally took office, Jan. 14, 2019.
