You think the I-85 bridge was rebuilt quickly?
Over the weekend, Georgia DOT crews worked to replace a bridge over I-24 in Dade County that was scheduled to take just two days.
The bridge was constructed beside the roadway, using a technique called accelerated bridge construction, then moved into place.
The new bridge includes two 12-foot travel lanes and two 8-foot shoulders.
Dade County is located at the Georgia-Tennessee state line.
