ATLANTA - Carjacking suspects on the run from police crashed into another vehicle around 1:00 Wednesday morning.

Atlanta Police said an officer was filing a report with a carjacking victim at 1028 Katherwood Drive when another officer spotted a car matching the description of the suspected vehicle, white Dodge Charger.

Police said the officer attempted to follow the car on Moury Avenue and headed East towards Jonesboro Road.

The Charger eventually collided with another car. Five black males exited the vehicles and ran away. One person was caught after a short foot chase.

Police set up a search perimeter around University Avenue and Pryor Street, but the remaining suspects were not found.

Two guns were recovered from the Charger, a Glock 22 .40cal and Glock 19 9M.

The suspect who was arrested is charged with armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
