Haunted house arson suspect sought in west Georgia

The suspect was caught on video. Now, police need help identifying and catching him.

CARROLLTON, Ga. — Authorities are on the lookout for an alleged arsonist they say tried to set a fire at a west Georgia entertainment venue.

Carrollton Police said that sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. on Sunday, an unknown man attempted to set a fire at Chaos Haunted House. The statement isn't clear about whether the suspect attempted to set the actual venue on fire or something else on the property.

What is clear is the video that captured the suspect's face, which has since been released by police hoping to catch him. They also include stills that appear to be from a convenience store.

Anyone who can help find the man - or identify him - is asked to call Arson Investigator Bill Lambert at 678-340-8447 or 404-535-0867.

Tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 (TIPS) and remain anonymous.
