NORCROSS, Ga. -- The train running through Norcross was at a standstill while police and fire investigated a pedestrian death.
Norcross Police sent out a warning about traffic in the area just after 11:00 am: "Train stopped on tracks clocking all crossings in downtown #Norcross."
The roads were blocked for several hours while investigators determined a woman stepped in front of the train to commit suicide.
The train was traveling from Rutherford to Atlanta hauling 46 loads totaling 6,454 pounds.

The tracks are owned by Norfolk Southern. 11Alive SkyTracker video shows a long cargo train stretching stopped on the tracks with crossing gates in the down position.
