A DeKalb police officer had the chance to win millions on NBC’s game show, “The Wall.”
And on Thursday night, we’ll all see how well he did.
Andre and Tomeka Hardaway auditioned for the show after their pastor told them about it. Andre is a detective with DeKalb police and Tomeka is a truck driver.
If you’ve never seen it, the show is all about sending big bouncing balls down a four-story wall and trying to collect as much money as possible.
One person stays up front and chooses where to position the calls, while the other sits behind the massive structure and answers questions.
The trick is, they have no idea what’s going on. Det. Hardaway sat behind the wall, and he said it’s one of the toughest things he’s ever done.
“It was so stressful, but a good stressful feeling,” he said. “But to sit back there in isolation and have no idea how well you're doing or to know what's going on out there on the stage, it was mind boggling, almost worse than being in a precarious situation as a police officer.”
The couple is expecting so they were fighting for every penny.
You can watch them on the show on Thursday night at 8 pm, right here on 11Alive and NBC.
