ATLANTA -- Members of the community are being invited to voice their opinion on Saturday as DeKalb Director of Public Safety Dr. Cedric Alexander keynotes a discussion on modern policing.

The event, titled "A Conversation Surrounding the New Face of 21st Century Policing" will tackle building trust between the community and police and will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Atlanta City Hall.

In addition to his role in DeKalb County, Alexander was also named a member of President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing.

Speakers and organizations will also include councilman and chairman of Atlanta Public Safety C.T. Martin, mayoral candidate Michael Sterling, the Atlanta Police Department, Director of the youth and college division of the NAACP, Stephen Green, NAACP executive leader and and civil rights attorney Gerald Griggs, Esq., Mocha Moms, Inc., The Emergency 100 of Atlanta, Inc., ManUP!, Inc., Frank Ski and the Frank Ski Kids Foundation, Visual Logic and several others.

Both Alexander and Cree Davis of Mocha Moms joined Jeff Hullinger on Thursday, to speak about the upcoming event.
